Volunteer to Serve
In Matthew 4:19 Jesus said, "Follow me."
FPC-Kingwood provides a variety of volunteer opportunities for members from serving on one of the several church committees to working in the nursery during services. Please share your unique gifts and talents and help FPC-Kingwood serve our church family and community. We ask our members to worship regularly, give faithfully and accept at least one opportunity to serve each year.
In the days of the apostles, the calling to serve was given as the Apostle Peter declared, "You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's own people, in order that you may proclaim the mighty acts of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light" (1 Peter 2:9).
Volunteer to support FPC-Kingwood in the following areas:
- Worship Services (Lay Leader, Ushering, Communion Preparation)
- Choirs/Music (Adult Choir, Hand Bells, Accompanist, Instrumentalist)
- Evangelism (Greeters, Telephone Calls, ALPHA)
- Christian Nurture (Teacher Recruitment, Library, Special Events)
- Adult Ministries (Sunday School Teacher, Family Night, Bible Study)
- Children's Ministries (Nursery, Sunday School Teacher, VBS, Kids Church )
- Youth Ministries (Route 56, Vortex 7-8, Octane 9-12)
- Finance/Stewardship (Annual Stewardship Campaign, Capital Funds, Audit)
- Building & Grounds (Landscaping, Carpentry, Maintenance, Electrical)
- Church Office (Personnel Committee, Answer Phones, Clerical Support)
- Church Life (Hospitality/Refreshments, Special Event Organization, Retreats)
- Missions (Mission Trips, Soup Kitchen, HAAM Volunteer)
- Board of Deacons & Elders (Serve as Deacons/Elders)
