First Presbyterian Church of Kingwood

First Presbyterian Church-Kingwood will host Rally Day 2009 on Sunday, Aug. 23, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall.

Rally Day is an annual celebration during which FPC-Kingwood members commit to volunteer throughout the year for the church’s many programs and activities, and also serves as an opportunity for visitors to learn more about the church.

Congregants and visitors, for example, might be interested in participating in the ongoing mission work of FPC-Kingwood in states across America, as well as in other countries including Mexico and Peru - where members have provided goods, and have built and maintained churches. 

The abundance of volunteer opportunities at the congregational level are diverse and include helping with Sunday services, singing in the choir, teaching Sunday-school classes, working with children’s programs such as Vacation Bible School, and joining the church leadership as a deacon or elder, among many others.

Tables  with descriptions of all of FPC-Kingwood’s programs will be manned by church volunteers for the four-hour, come-and-go Rally Day event.
