The job of teaching kids is the job of bringing children to the arms of Christ, which is our goal in children's ministry at First Presbyterian Church-Kingwood.
In all of our children's ministries, parents, grandparents and youth work together to make all children feel at home in God's house. We strive to ensure that every child knows God's door is always open and His house is the place to be throughout their entire lives. Our programs are fun, engaging and very kid friendly.

Kid's Church
On Sundays during the 11:05 service children 4 years old through 3rd grade are invited to attend FPC-Kingwood Kids' Church. Worshipping God in a friendly, fun and energetic program designed especially for kids - complete with awesome live skits! Our goal in Kids' Church is to guide our children in developmentally appropriate ways to encounter God. Kids Church is definitely high energy; but the focus is worship.
Sunday School
9:45-10:45 a.m. Sunday School classes are based on child's age or grade as of September 1. Classes for children 2 years old through 4th grade are held in the Christian Nurture Wing (click here for a map). A "new 2s" class is established as needed each year for toddlers whose second birthday is after Sept. 1.

ROCK SOLID CURRICULUM
FPC-Kingwood is very excited to be using the Rock Solid: Building a Heart of Faith curriculum in our Sunday School classes. Rock Solid is used in K-4th Grade, with a special curriculum for our littlest learners. Vacation Bible School

Our very popular high-energy Vacation Bible School, will be held June 14-17th from 1-4 p.m. The cost is $15. Children 4 years-old-4th grade are welcome and encouraged to participate. Youth 5th grade and up can get in on the fun by volunteering. There is a modified program for volunteers' toddlers, as well as a nursery for infants. Bethlehem Marketplace & Living Nativity
Annually in December
Bethlehem Marketplace & Living Nativity at FPC-Kingwood is a memorable journey for the entire family. Go back in time to the town of Jesus' birth to experience the busy marketplace - taste the foods, wear the clothes, try your hand at making jewelry, pottery, fishing nets, and even money! Your journey ends at the humble stable where Our Lord and Savior was born.
