First Presbyterian Church of Kingwood

Spiritual growth and worship continue throughout the week with First Presbyterian Church-Kingwood’s Weekly Bible Study Groups. FPC-Kingwood offers a variety of bible studies to help our congregation members learn more about the word of God, as well as how to live their lives as a disciple of Jesus Christ. Bible study also provides a great fellowship opportunity for our members.

The Dawn Patrol
Bible study with FPC-Kingwood Senior Pastor Dr. Jim Davis meets Tuesday mornings at 6 a.m. in the Conference Room.

Thursday Morning Bible Study
Bible study meets at 6:45 a.m. in the Conference Room.

Java with Jesus
Meet on Monday mornings to discuss the weeks’ devotions and how that week relates to our lives.  We are strong on praying for each other and enjoy our fellowship time.  We use a daily devotion book each year. 

Men's Fraternity
During the fall and spring semesters, Men’s Bible Study meets Friday mornings in the Fellowship Hall at 6 a.m.

Footsteps
During the fall and spring semesters, Women’s Bible Study meets Wednesday mornings in the Chapel/Parlor from 9:30-11:00 a.m. This year, this intergenerational group of women will be studying the book of Luke.

Refining Women
Refining women Is an in-depth Bible study that meets on Monday afternoons in the Chapel.  This is great for someone who really wants to dig deep into The Word.  There is homework each week and usually takes a few hours. 

Sisters in Christ
Sisters in Christ meets from 9-11 AM on Saturdays, with new classes beginning each fall in the conference room. Our group is great for women who work. We do a Beth Moore study once a year and then several other studies relating to women and their relationship with God.  

Presbyterian Women
All women of FPC-Kingwood enjoy membership in Presbyterian Women (PW) and they are encouraged to join a Circle to study in a small group environment. Lasting friendships-as well as spiritual enrichment-are made in these groups. PW meets as a large group, with all of the circles and ladies of the church, several times a year and a weekend retreat in the winter. PW is involved in many mission opportunities in the church. FPC-Kingwood Presbyterian Women Circles

All Circles meet monthly, September - May

AGAPE-Meets the 2nd Monday of the month at 7 PM in the church conference room, unless otherwise indicated. This is a great circle for the working women of the church since it meets in the evening.

DORCAS -A multi-generational circle that meets the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 1 PM in the parlor.

HANNAH -An "empty-nesters" circle that meets the 3rd Monday of the month at 11 AM in member's homes.

LYDIA-A circle primarily for women with school-age children, this group meets the 2nd Friday of the month  at 9 AM in member's homes.

MARYTHA-A circle primarily for "mature" women with grown children, Marytha meets the 3rd Thursday of the month at 9:30 AM in member's homes.

MIRIAM-A circle primarily for women with young children (and the only one that provides childcare), Miriam meets in the church parlor.
