Weekly Opportunities
Refining Women–“I will bring that group through the fire and make them pure. I will refine them like silver and purify them like gold.” (Zech.13:9a,b) An in-depth Bible study by Precepts. We meet every Monday afternoon from 12:30 – 2:30 in the Parlor. Current study is Philippians Contact: .
Footsteps–Is studying New Beginnings studies from the Book of Genesis with small group discussions. The lessons clarify issues of spirituality, declare the character of God and make clear how to know God personally and experience His strength to live a meaningful life. Sisters in Christ –Is a group for women who enjoy studying the Bible and are inspired by good discussions and great fellowship. We are claiming our Inheritance from God by using Beth Moore’s (no homework) study. We meet from 9-11 a.m. in the Conference Room. Our morning also includes food, prayer and a devotion. Java With Jesus – Start your week off right with coffee and devotions. Join us as we spend 5 minutes a day reading a devotion. Then each Monday morning we get together for fellowship and discussion about what we’ve read. Contact Mary Lee Irwin at if you are interested in starting a Java with Jesus group at a different time or day.
Miriam Circle–We meet every Monday at 9 a.m. in the Parlor. Contact Erin Messersmith . This group is for women with preschool or young elementary children.
Bi-Weekly Opportunities
Moms in Touch: Praying for our children, teachers and schools. Moms and grandmothers come together regularly to pray through the four steps of prayer. I know you will find this time richly rewarding. “No prayer experience necessary!” Meet in the Chapel from 9 – 10 a.m. on different Fridays – see Weekly for dates. .Contact Megan Frazier – (Childcare available)
MOPS - Mothers Of Preschoolers–MOPS is an international program designed to help meet the needs of every mom - urban/suburban/stay-at-home/working/teen/single/married-those who may have different lifestyles, but who all share a similar desire to be the very best moms they can be! MOPS is about a sisterhood of women celebrating motherhood, meeting needs, making connections and experiencing God's Love through relationships and resources. We provide encouragement and fun, small group discussion, creative activities, and nurturing child care.
MOPS FPC-Kingwood is open to every mom from pregnancy through their children's preschool years and meets on the 2nd & 4th Wednesday of every month Sept. through May from 9-11:30 a.m. in room 209 (childcare is provided). Monthly Opportunities
Agape Circle–Is studying Having a Mary’s Heart in a Martha’s World by Joanna Weaver. WE meet the 2nd Monday of the month at 7 p.m. in the Conference Room. Contact Risa McCann . This Circle is for all ages and stages for the working woman.
Dorcas Circle–Is studying Joshua: A Journey of Faith by Horizon. Meets the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 1 p.m. in the Parlor. Contact Del King . This Circle is for all ages and stages.
Marytha Circle–Is studying Women of the Bible by Kathy Collard Miller. Meets in members’ homes or at the church on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 9:30 a.m. Contact Karen Stephen or Julia Pegg . Consists primarily of women with older children or the more mature women.
Hannah Circle–Is studying Women of the Bible by Kathy Collard Miller. Meets in members’ homes at 11 a.m. on the 3rd Monday of the month. Contact Onnie Sherrer . Hannah Circle consists primarily of empty nesters or more mature women.
Lydia Circle–Is studying Extraordinary Women by Julie Clinton. We meet in members’ homes on the 2nd Friday of the month at 9 a.m. Contact Cindy Trammell . Lydia Circle consists primarily of women with school-aged children.
Letting Go–A group of women that are moms of high school/college age kids who meet one Wednesday evening a month in a member's home to discuss relevant issues on how to raise and let go of our kids in these challenging times! For more information contact Laurie Jones or Carol Dougherty
CAWT–Calling All Women Together meets the first Thursday of each month. Generally we meet in the church parking lot and carpool or use the church van. Sign ups are in the fellowship hall on Sunday mornings or contact Sue Plato for more information.

MGM–Movie Going Mommas Evening goes to the movies every third Thursday evening of the month.

Faithbook Class–meets on the second Tuesday of the month. This will be a special time for you to create a spiritual scrapbook. Megan Ferris will be leading this class and we will meet in the Parlor at 10 a.m. Please sign up for this by emailing Megan at .
Creative Servants– meets every 2nd Tuesday of the month at 9:30 in room 209. Our focus Is on serving the community. We get together for various service projects for our community and our mission committee. Led by Debbie Hanebuth .
Ment for Women–is women mentoring women. Volunteers mentor out newest members to our congregation and get them involved and make them feel at home. We get together as a group twice a year. Our next gathering will be March 20th 7-9 p.m. at Mary Lee Irwin’s home. To volunteer contact Karen Kilby,.
Heart to Home–women visit other women who are unable to get to church or just need an extra friend. Contact Kristen Wallace to volunteer for this “heartfelt” program at . We are also accepting into this program.

WOW Women of Worth is a great evening for all of the women of the church to get to know what we have to offer and to come together for fellowship and fun. Our next event will be September 8th, 2010. We will have a very special fall fashion show that is a must see for all of the ladies, so mark your calendar.
