Deacons' Outreach
The FPC-Kingwood Board of Deacons participates in the following activities to support their ministry to the community.
Angel Tree
Provides opportunities for the congregation to purchase Christmas presents for less fortunate children from our local community.
Bereavement Ministry
Provides care, spiritual support and resources to members of the church and others in times of grief from the loss of a loved one.
Bibles for Infants
Celebrates newly baptized infants and children of the congregation by providing Bibles.
Blood Drive
Deacons coordinate and participate in regular blood drives to serve the community. To find out about the next blood drive or volunteer to give blood, visit www.commitforlife.org.
Financial Aid
The Board of Deacons allocates money to assist seminary students, missions, and the pastor's discretionary fund which helps those in temporary financial need.
Good Samaritan
Provides help—including transportation, minor home repair or household chores—to members of the FPC-Kingwood church family during times of need.
Humble Area Assistance Ministry (H.A.A.M.)
The Deacons collect money, food baskets, school supplies, and clothing to support this vital Humble-area service organization.
Hospital Ministry
Provides resources and training to Deacons and church volunteers who minister to others during times of illness.
Loaves & Fishes
Deacons and volunteers donate, prepare and serve lunch to more than 200 people at the downtown Houston mission.
Meal Ministry
Deacons organize volunteers to provide meals for members in times of need.
New Member Assimilation
A personal and warm welcome is extended by a Deacon and Shepherd Group Leader to each new member of FPC-Kingwood
Prayer Chain
Prayer requests are coordinated so that those in need can be lifted up in prayer. To submit a prayer request, click here.
Second Blessings
Medical equipment is "recycled" to members of the congregation on a no cost, loan basis.
